Dear Reader,
This site is a work of satire, created for those who are deeply familiar with LDS culture, but no longer accept its truth claims. If you still believe in the church’s claims, even to a small degree, please understand that you are not our intended audience. While we believe it’s valuable for believers to be aware of the perspectives shared here—if only to better understand those in their lives who see things differently—this may not be the best place to explore these topics for the first time.
Our goal is not to mock individuals within the church. We recognize and respect the many admirable and wonderful people who remain part of the church. We understand their perspective, as we once believed as well. The process of leaving Mormonism can be profoundly difficult—not because the church is true, but because it often means facing ostracism, judgment from loved ones, and the challenge of reshaping one’s entire worldview.
In the face of that pain, humor can be a powerful tool for healing. Mormon history and culture provide plenty of material for satire, and we embrace it as a way to process and make sense of our experiences.
